    This is a Brand New tailgate for 1953-1957 Mercury M1 Half Ton Pickup Trucks. USA Made. Identical to the original. Ships bare steel, unprimed. THESE DO NOT HAVE THE HOOKS FOR THE CHAINS.  Most people are using a hidded latch of some sort.  If you need the tabs, let us know and we can send them separate.
